Lingerie is a term for fashionable and possibly alluring undergarments. The term in the French language applies to all undergarments for either gender. In English it is applied specifically to those undergarments designed to be visually appealing or erotic. Lingerie usually incorporating one or more flexible, stretchy materials like Lycra, nylon (nylon tricot), polyester, satin, lace, and silk which are not typically used in more functional, basic cotton undergarments.

• G-string, or thong, a narrow piece of cloth passes between the buttocks, and is attached to a band around the hips, worn as a bikini bottom or as underwear by both men and women.
• Garter/Garter belt/Suspender belt (British), used to keep stockings up
• Girdle, resembles a tight pair of athletic shorts

What is the life expectancy of lingerie?

I may just be unlucky, but it seems that my Victoria’s Secret stuff only lasts about 3 months. The lingerie I get at Target lasts a year …How long do you think lingerie should last for?
Wow I did not realize that men did not like lingerie ... 2 minutes ... 10 sec's ... not a sec??? Sounds like I'm better with the cheap stuff since no one savors the moment yish.

The target stuff is made from cheaper materials (like cotton, polyesters etc) and it can withstand normal washing. The victorias secret is made from silk & more delicate materials and problably cant withstand much normal washer abuse. Get a laundry bag. Its a mesh bag that you throw all your bras and panties in. Wash them all together in this mesh bag. (dont overcrowd it) This keeps all of your stuff together and keeps it from being wrapped around the agitator and being pulled and twisted out of shape. Laundry bag should cost about $2.50. Also.. a lot of Vicky's panties will reccommend hand washing.... I'd try that too. ( but who has the time for all that). But anyway... i replace all my "everyday" panties about 6 months. My special occasion ones last much longer.
